Professor Guo Yufeng, of the Han ethnic group, was born in Luoyang, Henan Province in 1974. Prof. Guo has been a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1996, Professor Guo graduated from formerly Chengdu University of Science and Technology (now merged into Sichuan University) in 1996 with a bachelor of engineering degree in Metal Material& Heat Treatment. In 2001, he graduated from the same major of his Alma Mater with a master’s degree. In 2005, he graduated from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) with a doctorate degree in Microelectronics& Solid State Electronics. From July 1996 to August 1998, he worked in 725 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Corporation. In June 2005, he embarked on his career at NJUPT and was respectively given accelerated promotion to Associate Professor in 2007 and Professor in 2011.
Since 2006, he has served at NJUPT successively as Deputy Director of the Department of Microelectronics Technology, Director of the Department of Microelectronics Technology, Assistant to the Dean of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Deputy Dean of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Director of the Electrical and Electronic Experimental Teaching Center, Dean of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Dean of the School of Electronic and Optical Engineering and Microelectronics. In January 2019, he was appointed as Director of the Department of the Party Committee teachers, Director of the Personnel Department and Director of the Postdoctoral Management Office. In June 2021, he was appointed as member of NJUPT Standing Committee of CPC and Vice President of NJUPT.
He is now also the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a member of the Circuits and Systems Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics and a member of IEEE.
In 2008, he was selected as an excellent young backbone teacher of “Qinglan Project” (a project aimed at training young talents in Jiangsu Province). In 2011, he was selected as the third level training candidate of Jiangsu Province “333 Project”, and in 2012, he was chosen as one of the leaders among young scholars of the “Qinglan Project” and hit the list of “Peaks of Talents in Six fields” of Jiangsu.
Professor Guo has been engaged in teaching and research in semiconductor power devices and integration technology, integrated circuit design and system integration for a long time. In recent years, he has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects and published more than 260 papers, including more than 80 SCI-indexed papers and 70 EI-indexed papers. Moreover, he has applied for more than 100 invention patents, of which more than 40 have been authorized, and published 6 textbooks. In 2014, he won the first prize of Teaching Achievements of Jiangsu Province. In 2015, he won the second prize of Technological Progress of Nanjing. In 2017, he won the Special Prize of Teaching Achievements of Jiangsu Province. In 2019, he won the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement.
